Qingdao Tourist Attractions and Sightseeing

(Qingdao, Shandong, China)

Picture of beachfrontThe city of Qingdao is surrounded by fine coastal scenery, which is undoubtedly one of its greatest natural attractions. It is on this foundation that the greater part of the locations considered to be the best tourist attractions are based.

Tourists staying in Qingdao often enjoy the pleasant beach attractions and the magnificent natural parks, before heading for the winery and brewery - both of which cite natural environments as a major contributor to their success. The daily fish market on Feicheng Lu is also extremely popular and usually full of interest.

Beaches

Qingdao is renowned for its fine beaches, being just a short distance from the city centre. The most significant beaches are located on the southern coast and are each curiously known by a number. Of all the six main beaches, Number 2 is the most tranquil and least developed, and this is the best place to head if you are looking to relax and escape the crowds. The Number 2 beach is also one of the most scenic areas and boasts lush green hills overlooking the clear waters and soft white sands, with swimming being popular between June and September.
